Retracing The Steps - Days 2 & 3 in Fairview

Today is a short driving day, only about 300 or so miles to go. I was up early, had breakfast, and soon on the road. Little Rock was only 25 miles, and traffic was light. Not lots to see driving through this part of AR....lots of Pres. Clinton signs around Little Rock, and a sign for his birthplace at Hope, AR. Mostly farming country. By noon or so I was near Fairview, but took a wrong turn and Rick had to help me get back in the right direction.

It wasn't long until I was at Julie's house, greeted by 2 adults, 3 children, 1 BIG dog, and 2 kittens. Never a dull moment here, especially for someone who lives alone. I'm babysitting tonight while Julie and Rick go to their Christmas party, so that should be an adventure. The kids are big enough now that they pretty much take care of themselves, I just help resolve any disagreements.

The babysitting went fine, no major issues. Rick and Julie stayed in Dallas Saturday night, and were home mid-morning. We spent most of the day relaxing and watching football. Later in the afternoon went out and took a few pictures, and after dark drove around to see Christmas lights. It turned cold this afternoon, supposed to be in the low 30's tonight. I started packing to leave early tomorrow morning to travel farther west. First stop is Waco, after that not so sure.
